Last night I read until 1 am to finish this book, since I could not go to sleep without knowing the outcome. The less you know about the story, the better, because there are many twists and turns that have not been previously revealed in the media. Troubling aspects of Paul's early life are difficult to think about, and I found myself wishing for an alternative to what he actually discovered. Paul was brutally honest about the impact of his search on his relationships, and as a reader, I found myself both understanding his focus, and feeling the pain of those around him.Realizing how many hours Paul's team of dedicated genealogists, both professional and amateur, spent on discovering his true story is inspiring and illustrates well the caring of the genealogical community. This is a must-read for those of us who have worked on our own family trees.
